The five pool builders on Bonita's page include one contractor with a documented history spanning over 75 years in San Diego County and four businesses with very few public reviews between them. The page draws from multiple communities: National City contributes one listing, Coronado another, alongside three Bonita-based contractors.
Catalina Pools, headquartered in National City, has built custom residential and commercial pools and spas in San Diego County for over 75 years. The company uses gunite and manages the full construction process in-house: excavation, plumbing, steel reinforcement, gunite application, decking and finish tile. It takes on remodels and resurfacing as well as new construction, and builds water features, fire features, outdoor kitchens and hardscape. Financing is available, the company carries a contractor license, and it backs its work with a warranty. Catalina Pools names San Diego County, San Diego, National City and Coronado as the areas it serves. Rated 4.0 from 12 reviews, it holds the deepest review history of any contractor on this page.
The other four businesses on the page each have four or fewer reviews. Blue Wave Pools, Dream Pools and South Bay Pools & Spas Service Repairs and Remodel are each based in Bonita and rated 5.0 from a single review. A one-review score tells you a business is active and has at least one satisfied customer, but it provides little basis for broader comparison. Their listing cards include phone numbers for a direct conversation about what each takes on and whether it covers your part of San Diego County.
